Obituary of Gladys J. Yeager

Gladys Yeager, 90, West Wheatfield Twp., Indiana County passed away October 11, 2024, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.  Borin July 6, 1934, in West Wheatfield Twp., Indiana County the daughter of late Walter “Butch” and Sarah (Steffey) Muir.  Also preceded in death by husband of 70 years Samuel Yeager was passed away January 20, 2023.  Brother Robert Muir, sisters Mildred Short and Shirley Dranzik, sons Randy and Robin Kay, and great-grandson Conner Hanson.

Survived by children Karen Boring (Donald), Peggy Miller (Mike).  Grandchildren Heather Hanson (Chris), Michael Boring (Erin), Richard Yeager (Ellen) and Christopher Miller.  Great Grandchildren Alec Hanson (Morgan), Brayden Miller, Carter Wirick, Sam Yeager, Seth, Wyatt, Mady, Ryan, Easton and Blake Boring.  Great- Great Grandchildren Sibyl, Macey and Berkley Hanson and one soon to be born great-great grandchild.  Brothers Denver (Frances) Muir, Leroy (Joan) Muir, and Harry Muir, and sister Harriet (Dennis) Payne, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Gladys enjoyed tracing on her family history and reading her Bible daily.  She was a terrific baker, wrote in her journal daily, and worked on the family farm her entire life.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 19, 2024, at 11 am at the First Church of Christ in Bolivar, Pa.  Lloyd Campbell officiating.  Interment to follow at Westview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the First Church of Christ P. O. Box 23 Bolivar, PA 15923
