Obituary of Shirley Alberter

Shirley Alberter, 95, Armagh, passed away January 31, 2024, at Richland Woods.  Born October 14, 1928, in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence (Overdorff) Allison.  Also preceded in death by husband Francis “Bud” Alberter, son William Alberter, granddaughter Sharon Ogert, great-grandchildren Kevin, Kenneth, and Chyenne Ogert, and sister Phyllis Stercho.

Survived by children Cheryl Wieromiej, Bobbi Rohrabaugh, and husband Bruce, and Beth Alberter.  Grandchildren Tracy Huss, Misty Huber, and husband Eric, Ethan Danforth, Donna May Zack., Great-grandchildren Bryce Huss, Mariah Huss and husband Noah Mamula, Brady Huss, Carson Huber, and Kendra Huber.

Shirley was a member of Bethel United Presbyterian Church where she was active in Bea Lammers Women’s Circle and various other functions.  She was an avid reader who enjoyed singing, ballroom dancing, and the dogs her and Bud had.

Friends received 3-7 pm Sunday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St, Armagh and 10 am till time of service 11 am Monday at Bethel United Presbyterian Church 1354 Bethel Cemetery Road, New Florence.  Pastor James Sunseri officiating.  Interment Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Shirley’s name may be made to Bethel United Presbyterian Church, or your local Humane Society.
